Ghana Friendship Association of Nebraska was established in 1994 by Ghanians residing in Nebraska.
The association was formed to educate and support the community by introducing the Ghanaian culture
by way of traditional clothes and fashion, rich history of African American connection, native food as well
as cultural dancing and drums.
The association also educates the children of Ghanaian families about their back ground and culture.
The association supports clinics and schools in rural areas in Ghana through donations of all types from clothing,
food and hospital needs.  The association has supported and guided new arrivals through education and nurturing.
The association does involve in community services and community activities.
The association is open to all Ghanians and their families residing in Nebraska.
